This is a very unique process used in Europe and very difficult to find in the US. The cloth is heavier than regular cotton, but not as stiff as an old-fashioned oiled cloth. Absolutely looks like regular cotton, but you will love the easy care: just wipe with a damp sponge with mild detergent. Can also be machine washed. Machine dry at a low temperature setting, or hang dry.
